| Arbequina
It originates from Majorca, from where it moved
to Catalunya, became acclimated in Arberca (in the Les Garrigues region)
from whence it got its name.
It is an oil for lovers of exotic and sensorial
flavors, with an almondy flavor, very sweet and pleasant, without leaving
any bitterness or bite. Its aroma is reminiscent of wild and garden fruits,
and in our case of bananas.
It is a small tree, which resists cold well, with
very strong roots. Its fruit is more rounded (rather than elongated), ripens
early, with greenish/violet shiny leaves, and produces a very high quality
oil. It is a very good accompaniment to both fresh and cooked vegetables
and fish
It originates from Mora de Toledo. Its name comes
from the characteristic horn shape of its fruit. It is also called cornezuelo.
It is very resistant to drought, freezing and winter cold. Upon maturation
it is characterised by its intense purplish color.
It is an oil of exceptional quality. Its color
ranges from golden yellow to intense green tones.
They are fruity, aromatic oils, with qualities
between bitter and spicy. Cornicabra oils have a notable balance. Hints
of almond and apple stand out accompanied by a symphony of aromas and flavors
which are reminiscent of fresh fruit, with very little bitterness and spiciness
which makes them ideal for use uncooked in salads, dressings and sauces.
They are also very appropriate for frying, as they go a long way and last
longer
