Since the 17th century our family has been linked
to agriculture. Pago de los Baldios de San Carlos is a legacy of generations,
an experience that can be appreciated in the care of the olives during the
whole production process of our oil.
The Templars, those warrior monks whose assets
were transferred by the Pope to the Hospitable Brothers of Jerusalem after
their historical problems, finally bequeathed us control over the land and
payments so that we can use it today.
Tradition
and Art
It is difficult to provide new data about oil,
as our incredible Columela who over 2,000 years ago told us of its healthful
properties, as our internationally known nutritionist Grande Covián, as
all the scientists, doctors and experts who continue to marvel at all of
its very important curative properties, which the Fenitians, Greeks and
Carthaginians had already sensed and which was a motive of great commercial
importance in both the Greek and Roman civilizations, make it practically
unnecessary to offer additional data
Order
in the oil revolution
The great oil revolution, in these last few years,
is the changing from being a generic product of great bulk, to producing
oil with the highest levels of quality with its own identity. We believe
that at this time oil is following the same path as Wine, and is doing so
for the better. Oil is becoming and will be considered distinguished and
valued commercially rather than as a course, bulk product due to the parameters
of its organoleptic characteristics, consideration of the different varieties,
place of production and finally, “tasting” by Panels of Experts.
Olive oil consumption is only 3% of worldwide vegetable
oil consumption. This calms us and allows us to believe that with good institutional
promotion, demand could be increased to a certain extent, which would be
unlikely to saturate the market in the future. .
